Graduate Scholarship

The LGA is committed to supporting high-quality, innovative research and to building alcohol- and gambling-related research capacity in the province. As part of this, we offer scholarships for graduate students who are conducting alcohol or gambling research at Manitoba universities.

Scholarships are available on a competitive basis to full-time graduate students at post-secondary institutions in Manitoba who are engaged in or about to embark on the research portion of their thesis or dissertation. Students may be from any discipline, provided that their research is related to the LGA’s broad regulatory mandate.

Scholarships are valued at $5,000 for master’s students and $10,000 for doctoral students.

Applications for funding must be received by November 1, 2017.
