The LGA is committed to providing service excellence to all Manitobans and the liquor and gaming industries through integrated, adaptive and innovative regulatory services. To meet this mandate, the LGA conducts research to inform its operational and social responsibility initiatives. This research can be technical in nature, and the LGA recognizes the need to disseminate results in formats that are accessible to varied audiences.
Knowledge translation is a dynamic and evolving process that includes the production, distribution, and exchange of ethically-sound knowledge collected through rigorous scientific processes. The LGA works to provide accessible results of projects completed by the research department through concise single-page summaries. These summaries condense each published article produced by the research department into key points. The summaries contain information about:
- What the research is about
- What the researchers did
- What the researchers found
- How the research can be used
- What are the “need to know” key points
